About the Home Page
The Home page is the first page you see when you open Safe Environment (SEP). The Home page is the gateway to your organization's SEP data, special tools, and system settings. With a single click of your mouse, you can quickly access main areas of the program and its numerous features and functions.

The illustration below identifies the main elements on the Home page. Descriptions of these elements are provided later in this topic.
Page Toolbar Buttons

Opens and closes the sidebar navigation menu in the left pane. The navigation menu is a list of links to main pages in the SEP program. Select a link in the menu to open the named page.
Settings ButtonSettings Button
Opens the Settings page where you can view and change SEP program settings and perform a number of tasks, including viewing and managing requirements, adding users, and adding roles and permissions, to name a few.
Help DocumentationHelp Documentation
Opens the online Safe Environment Help documentation. The online Help is designed to provide you with the right information when you need it as opposed to having you search through a printed document to locate the information you need to perform a task or understand a concept. After you open the Help, use the navigation aids within the Help to locate the specific Help topics you need. For more information, go to How to Access the Online Help Documentation.
Opens your user profile. Your profile stores your profile information, which includes the name of your parish or diocese, your name, and the user role you are currently assigned to.
The View Profile link opens a window that shows your current username and email address. You can change this information, if necessary. The Reset Password button lets you reset your password without having to contact an administrator.
Sidebar Navigation Menu
The sidebar Navigation menu is displayed in the left panel. This menu contains links to the main pages in SEP and provides an alternative way to access those pages. To open a page and access its features and functions, simply click a page link in the menu.

Page Tiles
Like the navigation menu, the page tiles provide a way to access the main pages in SEP. Simply click a tile to open the named page to view its features and functions. Descriptions of the page tiles are provided below:
Opens the Dashboard page where you can view metrics for requirements that need action.
Opens the Individuals page, which contains a list of the individuals that have requirements your organization is tracking. On this page, you can add individuals and manage their profiles, requirements, and assignments.
Opens the Organizations page, which lists the organizations the logged-in user has permission to access.
Opens a secondary page that gives you access to the following specialized SEP reports:
Opens the Settings page where you can view and modify configuration settings for SEP.
