Fund Record

As shown below, a fund record is divided into eight tabs to help you navigate the information. The name on each tab identifies the type of information that you can configure for the fund. For example, the Permissions tab lets you configure fund permissions (which users can access the fund). Select a tab to view and manage the information on it. 

Descriptions of the eight tabs are provided below. Click the arrowhead next to the name of a tab to expand it and view its description. 

Fund TabFund Tab

The Fund tab lets you provide general details about the fund, such as its name or description and the number assigned to it in your organization's Chart of Accounts. For descriptions of the fields on this tab, go to Fund Tab.

Permissions TabPermissions Tab

The Permissions tab contains the names of all staff in your organization that have permission to access the Development Manager application. On this tab, you can individually configure each staff user's permissions to the fund. For descriptions of the fields on this tab, go to Permissions Tab.

Frequency TabFrequency Tab

The Frequency tab contains options used to specify the length of the period for pledges made to a fund and options used to configure the default billing frequencies for pledges. For descriptions of the fields on this tab, go to Frequency Tab.

Appeals TabAppeals Tab

Appeals are the methods your organization uses to solicit gifts to a fund, for example, auctions, in-pew solicitation, and direct mailings. The Appeals tab enables you to associate appeals to a fund and manage detailed information for each appeal. For descriptions of the fields on this tab, go to Appeals Tab.

Goals TabGoals Tab

The Goals tab enables you to specify goal amounts to raise for a fund. On this tab, you can add new goals to a fund, edit existing goals, and delete goals that are no longer relevant. For descriptions of the fields on this tab, go to Goals Tab.

Refunds TabRefunds Tab

The Refunds tab lets you view refund amounts parishes can receive for exceeding the fundraising goals established for the fund and amounts parishes owe for missing those goals. For descriptions of the fields on this tab, go to Refunds Tab

Parish Reports TabParish Reports Tab

The Parish Reports tab enables you to give specific user groups (for example, staff users with Parish User Access) permission to run parish reports and view the content. On this tab, you can also customize the report name appearing in the report header. Additionally, if you are not satisfied with the display order of parish reports in the report setup, you can change the order to your preference. For descriptions of the fields on this tab, go to Parish Reports Tab.   

Designations TabDesignations Tab

Options on the Designations tab give you the ability to structure a fund so that donors can earmark contribution amounts, directing their gifts toward multiple functional areas they care most about or toward different areas of need. Users can specify a designation for all or part of their gift. For descriptions of the fields on this tab, go to Designations Tab .
