How to Log in to Safe Environment (SEP)
SEP is available from any supported Web browser to users with valid login credentials. You can log in using your SEP credentials or log in using a Ministry ID account, which lets you use one set of login credentials to access multiple ParishSOFT products that
are configured for single-sign on. This topic describes both login methods.

- Open a browser and type the URL for SEP.
- On the Login screen, enter your username and password.
- Click
to open the SEP Home page.
Logging In with Your MinistryID Credentials
Ministry ID is a single sign-on solution that enables you to access multiple ParishSOFT products, such as
ParishSOFT Family Suite and SEP, using one set of login credentials. Single sign-on with MinistryID is available only for ParishSOFT products
displaying this MinistryID logo:

To use MinistryID, you must first create a MinistryID account. Then, for each ParishSOFT product
you want to access using single sign-on, you must configure your existing login credentials to link to your
MinistryID account. The following
sections show you how to configure ParishSOFT SEP to use
MinistryID and how to log in to SEP using your MinistryID credentials.
Configuring SEP for Single Sign-On with MinistryID
IMPORTANT
Configuring ParishSOFT SEP for single sign-on access with MinistryID is optional. If preferred, you can skip these instructions and continue signing in to ParishSOFT SEP using your existing username and password.
If you decide to configure ParishSOFT SEP for single sign-on access with MinistryID, follow the steps below. Note that you must have an existing ParishSOFT SEP user account. During the configuration process, you will be prompted to verify your identity
by entering the username and password for that account.
To configure SEP for single sign-on using MinistryID, complete the following:
- Open a browser and enter the URL for ParishSOFT SEP.
- On the Login page, click
to open the Ministry ID login page.
- Do one of the following:
- If you already have a MinistryID account, you must link it to your ParishSOFT SEP user account. To do this, complete the following:
- Enter your email address and password. Then, click
.
- Enter your ParishSOFT SEP username and password. Then, click
.
The system verifies your identity and then displays a message to inform you that your ParishSOFT SEP credentials were successfully linked to your MinistryID account.
- Click Done to dismiss the message.
You can now use your MinistryID credentials to sign in to ParishSOFT SEP and all other ParishSOFT products that are configured to use single sign-on access with MinistryID.
- If you do not have a MinistryID account, you must create one and link it to your ParishSOFT SEP user account. To do this:
- Click this link at the bottom of the page: Create account.
- Enter your email address. Then, enter and confirm the password you want to use for your MinistryID account.
- Click
to create the account.
- Enter your ParishSOFT SEP username and password. Then, click
to connect the credentials to MinistryID account you just created.
The system verifies your identity
and then displays a message to inform you that your ParishSOFT SEP credentials were successfully linked to your new MinistryID account.
- Click Done to dismiss the message.
You can now use your MinistryID credentials to sign in to ParishSOFT SEP and all other ParishSOFT products that are configured to use single sign-on access with MinistryID.

- Open a browser and enter the URL for ParishSOFT SEP.
- Click

- Enter your MinistryID username and password. Then, click
.
You can now use your MinistryID to log in to ParishSOFT SEP and easily log in to each of the ParishSOFT products your organization
is licensed to use that are also set up to use single sign-on access with MinistryID.
