How to Set the Termination Date for an Assignment

Whenever an employee or volunteer separates from your organization, vacates a position, quits or ends an assignment, you should update the system to record the date the assignment ended. You should also change the status of the assignment accordingly so that the system will no longer track the assignment and push requirements notifications to the Dashboard or the Individuals page. Additionally, after you end date an assignment, data for it will no longer be included in SEP reports and USCCB counts, and its associated requirements will no . 

 After an assignment is end-dated, editing is restricted to maintain data integrity. Only users with Individual Assignments Modify End Assignments  are allowed to make additional changes to assignments with an end date.

 You must have Individuals Modify permissions to edit profiles.

  1. On the Home page, click the Individuals tile to open the Individuals page.
  2. Find the individual whose profile you want to end date. If your list is long, use the search features to find the person you are looking for.
  3. Click an individual's name link to open their record.
  4. Scroll down to the Assignments panel. Then, do the following:
    1. In the left pane, select the assignment you are end dating.
    2. In the Status field in the right panel, select a status (for example, InActive, Terminated, or Deceasedto indicate that the individual is no longer serving in the assignment. 
    3. In the End Date field, type the date the assignment ends or click  and select the date from the displayed calendar.
  5. Click  to save the change. 

The system updates the record and ends the assignment on the date specified.
