This topic shows you how configure the Printed Name dropdown list in the donor reports configuration. The printed name is simply the typed form of the name of the person who signs a donor letter. If your donor letter includes a handwritten signature, a generally accepted practice is to show the signer’s full name in print under the signature.
In the setup for the donor report, printed names are stored in the Printed Name dropdown list. To make a printed name available for a user to insert into a donor letter, you must add it as an option to this list. You create up to five printed names and add them as options to the Printed Name dropdown list. When creating a donor report, users can select any one of the options in the list and insert it into the donor letter after the handwritten signature.
The system adds an option for the name to the Printed Name dropdown list in the report setup, making it available for users to select and add to the donor letter.
If you ever need to edit the name of an option or remove it from the Printed Name dropdown list, go to How to Manage Options in the Printed Name Dropdown List for instructions.
