How to Edit Contribution Records
You can edit contribution records individually or select multiple records and edit one or several of their properties at the same time.
Editing a Single Contribution Record

Editing a Single Contribution Record
- Open the Contributions page.
- Find the contribution records you want to edit using either of the following methods:
- Type your search criteria in the Search box at the top of the page. (Position your mouse over the Info icon to find out what
type of data the Search bar accepts.) Then, click .
- Select search criteria using the filters in the Filter panel. Then, click .
A list of records matching your search criteria is displayed.
- Select the checkbox next to the record you want to edit. Then, click to open the Edit Values panel on the right.
- In the Edit Values panel, do the following:
- For each field that you want to edit, select the field's checkbox. The associated field in the left panel is now activated and can be edited.
- In activated fields in the left panel, type or select the desired value. For descriptions of the fields in the Contribution record, go to Contribution Record Details.
- Click to save your changes.
The system updates the contribution record with your changes.
Editing Multiple Contribution Records (Bulk-Editing)
- Open the Contributions page.
- Find the contribution records you want to edit using either of the following methods:
- Type your search criteria in the Search box at the top of the page. (Position your mouse over the Info icon to find out what
type of data the Search bar accepts.) Then, click .
- Select search criteria using the filters in the Filter panel. Then, click .
A list of records matching your search criteria is displayed.
- Select the checkbox next to each record you want to edit. Then, click to open the Edit Values panel on the right.
- In the Edit Values panel, do the following:
- For each field that you want to edit in the selected records, select the field's checkbox. The associated field in the left panel is now activated and can be edited.
- In activated fields in the left panel, type or select the desired value. For descriptions of the fields in the Contribution record, go to Contribution Record Details.
- Click to save your changes.
The system updates the selected contribution records with your changes. Note that if you edited the fund, to ensure that contributions were associated with the right pledge, the system did the following:
- If a donor made a new contribution to a fund for which they had an existing pledge, associated the contribution with that pledge.
- If a donor made a contribution to a fund for which he or she had multiple pledges, associated the contribution with the most recent pledge.
- If a family made a contribution to a fund that had both family and member pledges, associated the contribution with the family's—not the member's—pledge.
